Ponderosa Family Dental is excited to welcome Dr Gorav Singla in its team. Dr Singla was born in India. He earned his Bachelors and Masters in dentistry from very renowned universities in India. He worked as a general dentist and prosthodontist for 12 years after his post graduation. He has completed 100s of implant and smile make over cases in his 12 years of dentistry carrier. After immigrating to Canada with his family, Dr Singla underwent vigorous examination process by National Dental Examination Board of Canada and successfully completed them in his first attempt to earn his DDS. He worked as an instructor and trainer at Dent art institute for training of international dentists.

Dr Singla is very passionate about his work and continues to upgrade his skills by joining various continue education courses and study clubs. He explains the complete treatment plan to his patients in a calm and stress free manner and believes that for long lasting dental care, communication is very important. You will always find him smiling and eager to answer any questions you might have regarding your dental health and treatment needs.
In his free time, Dr Singla loves to ride a motorbike and exploring new and unseen roads. Besides motorbikes, books have a special place in his heart. He loves to have quality time with his wife and daughter.
Dr. Cynthia Yee
Dr. Yee is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. She received her DDS from University of Alberta. Subsequently, she completed her Advanced Education in General Dentistry, Master in Oral Biology and Certificate in Periodontics at Boston University.
She was a clinical instructor at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine and at Samuels Sinclair Dental Center at Rhode Island Hospital. She is now a clinical instructor at her alma mater UBC and works in a private practice. Dr. Cynthia Yee is one of two LANAP certified periodontists in BC.
Dr. Jessica Chen
Dr. Jessica Chen obtained her Bachelor of Science with distinction (B.Sc.) degree from the University of British Columbia and her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree with high distinction from the University of Sydney. Dr. Chen was awarded the Martin Halas Prize as the top clinical student in all clinical components in her final year of dentistry, and the Peter Kaleski prize for excellence in Prosthodontics and Endodontics from the Australian Society of Endodontology and International Academy of Gnathology
Dr. Chen values building a trusting relationship with her patients through open communication and keeping her patients well-informed. Her kind, patient, and gentle demeanor allows patients to receive comprehensive care in a comfortable and stress-free environment.
Dr. Chen practices minimally invasive dentistry with evidence-based approach and keeps her skills and knowledge up to date with continuing education courses and study clubs. She has a passion for sharing her knowledge with patients so that they can work together to obtain optimal oral health.
Dr. Chen has provided dental treatment at the Children’s Hospital and the Dental Emergency department in Westmead Hospital in Sydney. She is currently a public health dentist with Vancouver Coastal Health. In her free time, Dr. Chen enjoys giving back to her community as a volunteer dentist at Vancouver Aboriginal Health Society in Downtown Eastside. Dr. Chen currently holds active memberships with the BC Dental Association, Canadian Dental Association, Australian Dental Association, and the BC Dental Study Club. Some of Dr. Chen’s hobbies includes hiking, swimming, and learning to cook new dishes.
Dr. Cindy Liang
Dr. Cindy Liang grew up in Vancouver and obtained her Bachelor of Biomedical Science from the University of Waterloo and her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree with distinction from the University of Western Ontario.
Since before she started dental school, she has been involved with dental outreach at Vancouver east side with Strathcona Community Clinic. She was also part of various outreach programs for kids and underserved communities in rural Ontario. She is passionate about expanding her professional repertoire through various CE courses and study clubs.
Dr. Liang believes that comfort and trust are the most important aspects of a good experience at the dentist. She aims to provide gentle and comfortable care, involving her patients as much as possible in their treatment decisions.
